Mother's Day Tea

Sadie's preschool had a mother's day tea. It was a special treat to spend some quality one on one time with my Sadie lady! She was so cute about every detail. She made sure I found my seat with a cute name card that was actually a little purse. She found out what I wanted to drink and served it to me. We had fruit, cheese and crackers. The class performed some cute songs to us. One of them was Skida Ma rink A Dink. That probably isn't the official title but at least that is how I can remember it.

A Little Peice of Heaven

There are a few moments in life when I have clearly seen, felt, and known what this life is really all about. March 21st was one of those special days. Savannah had chosen to be baptized with her cousins on that day. All grandparents were able to come and participate along with many other family members and friends.

It was pure joy to see David and Savannah dressed in white enter the waters of baptism. Savannah was brightly beaming from ear to ear. I love how David bent over to kiss her on the head before using his priesthood to baptize her into Christ's church. I love that she choose to wear the white dress I wore after I was baptized. I love that she wanted me to make her a white dress to wear after she was baptized just as my mom had done for me. How special it was to have the 3 cousins share their special day! Thank you Chip and Liz for driving here!!

Savannah, Chase and Ally chose to sing "If The Savior Stood Beside Me". As they practiced during the week prior the the baptism, I would tear up. As the sang on their baptism day, Icried tears of joy. It was a little piece of heaven! Their beautiful, angelic voices blended perfectly as they bore witness to us of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to be her mother. What a tremendous example she is to me.

Later that day as we shared our thoughts and feelings of the day, Savannah shared with me that she could not put into words what she felt but it was the greatest feeling she had ever known! Savannah, you have worn 2 white dresses. What a wonderful day will be to see you in your 3rd white dress!

Milestones keeping us busy

Now you know what has been keeping us so busy! We are so excited for Saturday! I have been making her dress, thanks to the help of some wonderful friends and I actually finish it with a week to spare! We have been preparing for her New York twin cousins to come and be baptized with her! It is going to be a memorable day! We are excited for all the grandparents to be coming and other family members too! I can't believe she is 8!

David & I were putting girls to bed. When we came back to the family room,

You will have to take notice of the way he is sitting. He always sits like that! We think he is going to be a great hurdler one day! Really, I think it is his position of choice so that he is can go at a moments notice.

A 2nd grader or a 2nd mother? I'll take them both!

Savannah has become my "right hand man" and more like a second set of hands. How was I ever a mom without this helpful 7 yr old?!

She has been sick the last 2 days. It has been nice to have her home even though she wasn't feeling well. I have also realized how much she helps me out everyday!

There are so many times, she see a need and just takes over. She has been known to help get everyone in there coats and car seats for me! The moms out there know what a task that is! She will rock Read to sleep or help Christina make her bed. She is going to be a great mom one day. There is great joy in seeing your children be more then siblings but friends too!

Trying to Keep up

The following are some random silly pictures over the last month that have made us smile and brought us joy. Christina is such an observant child. She will follow am example to the tee. Hopefully, putting on Mom's hat and shoes is the only thing she is mimicking here! :)
The girls have been very kind to there brother. A necklace here or there and a crown have been the worst of their abuse---so far! Good thing he does not mind. I had to include one picture of Fall. We have leaves to spare and now they are under snow that isn't forecasted to melt before our last Leaf Pickup. I need to find the picture that shows one of our mountain piles of leaves from our 80 + trees.

This is not the first time I have seem this Halloween basket on a child's head. I love my cute pumpkinhead children.

Christina loves to see Savannah off on the bus every morning. She gets rather upset if she misses the opportunity to say goodbye to her and the bus. Here it is the coldest morning of the season and she goes out in a sundress that is on backwards and her cowboy boots. The bus driver asked, "isn't your sister cold?" Ah, she is a true Michigander and would sacrifice what ever to say her goodbyes. That is a true friend.

Sadie here is showing her true Texan blood. She created this outfit on her own. Her belt and belt buckle are made from robe ties! Howdy y'all!

Halloween: Finally documented before the next holiday

Here is our spirited broad! Halloween was a lot of fun. The girls were easy to convince that cheerleaders is what they wanted to be. If you asked Sadie what she was, she would tell you, "A BYU cheerleader"! That works too. Read was a great football. Dad didn't fumble him once!
